How to turn HTML into a PDF
- Type or paste your markup into the HTML editor and your styles into the CSS editor. The preview on the right updates as you type.
- Open the PDF tools panel to insert a page break, a running header or footer, or a sample table that splits across pages.
- Press Export, choose PDF, PNG or JPG, pick a page size and resolution, and download the file.
What the export actually contains
The tool draws the preview with html2canvas and places that picture on PDF pages with jsPDF. The result looks like the preview, but the text inside the PDF is an image: it cannot be selected, searched or read aloud by a screen reader, and links are not clickable. For invoices or reports that must stay searchable, print the preview with your browser's own Save as PDF option instead.
Getting a clean layout
- Set a fixed width on your main container (for example 794px for A4 at 96 DPI) so the preview matches the page.
- Use the inserted page-break element, or the CSS rule
break-before: page, where a new page should start. - Load web fonts and images from servers that allow cross-origin requests; blocked assets render as blank areas.
- Choose 2× resolution for print and 1× for on-screen sharing to keep the file small.
Templates and privacy
Saved templates are kept in your browser's local storage on this device. Your HTML is rendered inside the page and is not sent to a server; the editor and export libraries themselves are downloaded from a public content network when the page opens.
