How to use the hashtag generator
- Describe the post in a sentence, for example “quick high-protein breakfast for students”. Or tap a niche preset.
- Choose the platform. TikTok, Instagram and YouTube use slightly different tag styles.
- Choose a strategy. Viral Reach mixes in broader tags; Niche SEO favours specific, descriptive tags.
- Pick a count of 5, 15 or 30, then press Generate.
- Edit and copy. Delete anything that does not describe your post, then copy, shuffle or export to CSV. Recent sets are saved in your browser.
How the tags are chosen
The generator matches words in your description to built-in tag lists for each niche and platform, and adds tags made from your own keywords. It does not connect to TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, so it cannot see current trends, tag volume or your account.
Practical hashtag tips
- Use tags that describe the post. Irrelevant popular tags do not help people who search for your topic find you.
- Mix one or two broad tags with several specific ones.
- Instagram allows up to 30 hashtags per post; fewer, more relevant tags are easier to manage.
- On YouTube, the first hashtags in the description can appear above the title, and too many tags can cause YouTube to ignore them.
- Check a tag in the app before using it, to make sure it is not used for unrelated or restricted content.
