Thirty-four browser tools for testing, filling and occupying a screen — solid colour fills, monitor test patterns, fullscreen screensavers and replica update screens. Everything runs locally in this tab: nothing to install, nothing to sign up for, nothing uploaded.
A solid, edge-to-edge fill is the simplest panel diagnostic there is. A pure white fill exposes dust and dark (dead) sub-pixels; a pure black fill exposes stuck-lit pixels, backlight bleed and IPS glow; the primaries isolate a single sub-pixel channel at a time.
These patterns each isolate one panel behaviour. Run them in a dim room, at 100% browser zoom, with any "night light" or colour filter turned off — otherwise you are testing your software, not your screen.
Each screensaver runs entirely in the browser tab, so nothing is installed and nothing is stored on a server. Press F11 or the fullscreen button, and Escape to leave.
These are cosmetic replicas rendered in your browser. They do not touch your operating system, install anything, or change any setting — closing the tab ends the effect. Do not use them to deceive someone into paying money or handing over access.
How to get a useful result from these tools
A screen test is only as good as the conditions you run it in. These are the settings that change the outcome most, in the order they matter:
- Turn off night light / true tone / colour filters. They tint the whole panel and will make every colour test read wrong.
- Go fullscreen and hide the cursor. Browser chrome reflects light onto the panel edge and hides the corners where backlight bleed shows.
- Dim the room. Black-level faults — bleed, clouding, IPS glow — are invisible under office lighting.
- Set brightness to your normal working level, not maximum. Maximum brightness exaggerates bleed you will never notice in daily use.
- Clean the screen first. On a white fill, most "dead pixels" turn out to be dust.
Which tool answers which question
- "Is a pixel dead or stuck?" — white screen shows dark dead pixels, black screen shows stuck-lit ones, then run auto colour cycle to try to revive a stuck one.
- "Is my backlight even?" — gray uniformity test for clouding, black screen for corner bleed.
- "Does my OLED have burn-in?" — OLED burn-in test, run for at least 30 seconds per colour.
- "Why do gradients look striped?" — gradient test distinguishes true 6-bit banding from video-driver dithering.
- "Is there ghosting in motion?" — pixel response test.
What these tools can and cannot tell you
A browser fills the screen with the colours your operating system and GPU hand it, after colour management. That is enough to find dead and stuck pixels, dust, backlight bleed, clouding, banding, ghosting and viewing-angle shift — faults that are visible by eye. It is not a substitute for a colorimeter: nothing in a browser can measure your panel's actual gamma, white point or Delta E. If you need calibrated numbers, you need hardware.

Are these display tools free?
Yes. Every tool here runs in your browser at no cost, with no account and no download.
Do the tools send anything to a server?
No. The colour fills, test patterns and screensavers are rendered by your browser. Nothing about your screen or your settings is uploaded.
Can a color screen actually fix a stuck pixel?
Sometimes. Cycling colours rapidly can revive a stuck (wrongly-lit) pixel by forcing its sub-pixels through their full range. A dead pixel — one receiving no power — cannot be fixed in software.
Why does my screen look different in the browser than in a photo?
Browsers apply colour management and phone cameras apply their own processing. Judge the panel with your eyes in a dim room rather than through a photograph.
Are the fake update screens harmful?
No. They are cosmetic full-screen animations. They do not modify your operating system and close with the Escape key or by closing the tab.
